1. Daily inspection on Scaffolding Ladders. Ensure that Scaffolding Ladders are straight with no obvious defects before they are used and report defects to your management. Do not use defective or deformed Scaffolding Ladders.

2. Erect Scaffolding Ladders on a solid and level base ground. Ensure that they are securely tied at the top and footed such that it cannot slip outwards or sideways before climbing. Scaffolding Ladder access points should be without obstructions so that no one has to climb over a toe board or under a guardrail.

3. The Scaffolding Ladder should slope one meter out at the base ground for every four meters of height.

4. Ensure that the Scaffolding Ladder is long enough, i.e. it must project at least 1.0m (usually 5 rungs) above the landing place.

5. Ensure that the Scaffolding Ladder is fastened to Ringlock Scaffolding with an appropriate Scaffolding Ladder attachment coupler.

6. Work safely from Scaffolding Ladders at all times. Use both hands to climb and do not overreach when working from a Scaffolding ladder, you must maintain 3 points of contact at all times.

7. Use a safety harness and lanyard connected to a suitable independent anchorage point, if you need to have your hands free for working.
