The Scaffolding’s Development in Some Advanced Countries(2)

Time:2018/10/25

Since the 1950s, the frame bracket was invented in the United States, just so-called Frame Scaffolding. Due to its features of simple mounting and disassembly, good bearing performance and safe and reliable operation, it get a good development in the market. By the early 1960s, Europe, Japan and other countries have introduced and developed this kind of scaffolding, and formed various specifications of frame scaffolding system.

In France, Germany, Italy and other countries, the trapezoid, quadrilateral and triangle Formwork Support System which is similar to the frame scaffolding structure is developed and applied. Nowadays, the frame scaffolding is mostly used in some European countries and Japan, which account for 50% of all kinds of scaffolding system. There are a number of professional scaffolding manufacturers established in these countries to produce various frame scaffolding systems.

Since the 1960s, Ringlock Scaffolding has been widely applied all over the world. This kind of bracket structure is basically similar to the Tubular Scaffolding. The only difference is using the spigot to replace the fastener which avoid the bolt work and fastener lost. Forming the formwork system of different size by inserting the cross bar and diagonal bar into the spigot. This kind of scaffolding system has various types and different functions. It is widely used in European countries, and has been applied in Southeast Asia and China.

Among the scaffolding manufacturers all over the world, the Cuplock Scaffolding system developed by British SGB company take the lead in the design and the technology. It can be assembled in a bowl type socket, simultaneously connects the crossbar or diagonal bar from four directions. In recent years, Germany has developed a socket which can connect 8 cross-bars and diagonal bars from different directions at the same time. According to German experts, this kind of scaffolding is more advanced than cuplock scaffolding.
