Comprehensive Interpretation of “Climbing Frame” Technique

Time:2019/12/16

“Climbing Frame”, the adhesive lifting scaffolding, has been widely used in the construction of high-rise buildings.

Definition

It refers to the external scaffolding system that erected at a certain height and inserted into the engineering structure. The workers can climb or descend the engineering structure per floor with the scaffolding’s lifting devices and equipment. It also has overturn-preventing and anti-falling devices.

Components

The adhesive lifting scaffolding system mainly contains the following components: Integrated inserted lifting scaffolding frame structure, inserted support, overturn-preventing device, anti-falling device, lifting mechanism, and control device.

Introduction of the integrated adhesive lifting scaffolding technology

#1 The design of the integrated adhesive lifting scaffolding

1) The integrated adhesive lifting scaffolding is mainly composed of the frame body system, wall-adhesive system, climbing system.

2) The frame system consists of a vertical main frame, horizontal load-bearing truss, frame structure, and guardrail net.

3) The wall-adhesive system is composed of an embedded bolt, wall-connecting device and guiding device.

4) The climbing system consists of the control system, the climbing power equipment, the wall-adhesive load-bearing device, the frame load-bearing device. The control system adopts three control methods: computer control, manual control, and remote control. The control system has the functions of overload automatic alarm, loss of load automatic alarm, and machine stop.

5) The climbing power equipment can adopt an electric hoist or hydraulic jack.

6) The integrated adhesive lifting scaffolding has a reliable anti-falling device, which can quickly lock the frame system on the guide rail or other attached wall points when the lifting power fails.

7) The integrated adhesive lifting scaffolding has a reliable overturn-preventing guiding device.

8) The integrated adhesive lifting scaffolding has a reliable load control system or synchronous control system and adopts wireless control technology.

#2 The Construction of the Integrated Adhesive Lifting Scaffolding

1) The plane layout of the attached lifting scaffold shall be determined according to the engineering structure drawing, the attached wall position of the tower crane and the construction flow section, and the construction organization design and construction drawing shall be prepared.

2) The method of wall-attaching is determined according to the concrete structural form at the lifting point.

3) To formulate measures to ensure quality and safety of construction.

4) Set up the construction technology process and key points of integrated adhesive lifting scaffolding.

5) Calculate the required materials according to the special construction plan.

Technical Indicator

1) The height of the frame shall not be greater than 5 times the height of the floor, and the width of the frame shall not be greater than 1.2m.

2) The straight span of the two lifting points should not be greater than 7m, and the curve or polyline should not be greater than 5.4m.

3) The product of the full height of the frame and the supporting span shall not be greater than 110㎡.

4) The cantilever height of the frame shall not be greater than 6m and 2/5.

5) The rated lifting load at each point is 100kN.

Application Range

The integrated adhesive lifting scaffolding is suitable for the structural construction and decoration of high-rise or super high-rise buildings. For 16 floors above, the structure of the plane eaves outside the change of small high-rise or super high-rise building construction promotion and application of the adhesive lifting scaffolding. The adhesive lifting scaffolding is also suitable for the construction of high bridge piers and special tall towering structures.
